Insights into CO2 Foaming Behavior of Ethoxylated Amines

چکیده
Switchable ethoxylated amine surfactants are readily soluble in CO2 and high-saline brines. The objective of the current work is to maximize foamability stability foam at 150 °F (65 °C) through adjustments surfactant concentration, pH, brine salinity. From results, authors recommend potential applications Ethomeen C12 (EC12) for oil/gas industry. Foam tests helped determine optimum parameters 77 (25 °C). surface tension EC12 as a function concentration was evaluated using drop-shape analyzer. Maximum observed solution comprising 1.5 wt% EC12, 25 NaCl, pH 6.5 interactions with salts allowed closer packing molecules lamellae strengthening foam. At 2.5, absence salt led poor stability. However, same presence sodium chloride, stable longer periods time due influence. gradients had direct relationship There strong resistance degradation when multivalent ions were present surfactant.

Atomic Insights into the Melting Behavior of Metallic Nano-catalysts
In the present study, molecular dynamics simulations have been utilized to provide fundamental understanding of melting behavior of pure Pd and Pt nanoparticles with the size of 10 nm in diameter, both free and graphene-supported during continuous heating. The embedded atom method is employed to model the metal-metal interactions, whereas a Lennard-Jones potential is applied to describe the met...

The interaction between CO2 and 1,2-diaminoethane was computed using pure and hybrid density functionals. The CAM-B3LYP and wB97X-D functionals using a triple-ζ basis set that includes diffuse and polarization functions are the best functionals for calculating the relative energies of the zwitterion intermediate compared to a coupled-cluster with a single, double and non-iterative triple excita...

15 صفحه اولTheoretical insights into pyridinium-based photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO2.
The role of pyridinium cations in electrochemistry has been believed known for decades, and their radical forms have been proposed as key intermediates in modern photoelectrocatalytic CO(2) reduction processes. Using first-principles density functional theory and continuum solvation models, we have calculated acidity constants for pyridinium cations and their corresponding pyridinyl radicals, a...

Cognitive and social deficits lie at the core of many neuropsychiatric diseases and are among the many behavioral symptoms not amenable to pharmacological intervention. Despite significant advances in identifying genes potentially involved in the pathogenesis of complex psychiatric conditions such as autism and schizophrenia, knowledge of the physiological functions that are affected (and are t...
